In Joshua's hometown of Perth, the couple will complete their three-part wedding with a humanistic interpretation of the Nissuin ceremony. During the ceremony, the Ketubah (marriage contract) that Joshua and Fabienne signed in Oxford will be read. Various friends and family will also be invited to read one of the Sheva Brachot (seven blessings) underneath the Chuppah (marriage canopy). Text for the ceremony has been drawn from modern and traditional sources, in collaboration with Madricha Laura Miller and Martin di Maggio.
The ceremony will be led by James Cohen. Music provided by Suzanne Kosowitz and Kol Nafshi. We wish to acknowledge that we will be meeting on Whadjuk Noongar boodja.
